Hwa Hui Tew

Hi! I am a third-year PhD at Monash University Malaysia, working on research in generative ML for time-series application. Outside of research, I enjoy playing piano and exploring good food.

I am currently a member of the MedAI-Hub, where I develop generative ML frameworks for functional neuroimaging, with a focus to improve downstream classification of human brain networks associated with neuropsychiatric disorders.

During my first year of PhD, my business partner and I founded TT Engineering, providing bespoke full-stack automation solutions. After completing several projects, including our final project in Nilai, Seremban, we decided to conclude operations due to challenges in scaling. I then chose to fully dedicate my efforts to my PhD research.

To date, I have authored/co-authored publications in journals and conferences such as ICLR, IEEE TII, MICCAI, TMLR, ICASSP, ISBI and etc.
